The Grenier (loft)

The Grenier (loft) was formerly the grain store has been converted into 2 further bedrooms with their own bathroom and a store room. Each bedrooms featurea traditional exposed oak beams. Although not ideal for taller people these are probably the most attractive rooms in the house. Each room has its own double glazed window and is fully insulated (to keep cool in summer).

Nearly an acre of grounds which include oak, eucalyptus, pomegranite, apple & cherry trees, an ancient well (working) and your own ruins (not to be entered) plus a small rose garden.

House facilities:

Bedrooms are approx 25 m2 with at least one double bed. The 3 downstairs rooms have a traditional fireplace (not in use) & can easily accomodate extra beds or travel cots. Bedlinen can be provided for a small fee.

House facilities:

Fully fitted kitchen including: fan assisted oven, rotisserie, grill, ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher,toaster, filter coffee maker, breakfast bar/dining table for 4 and direct access from the kitchen to the side and rear gardens/pool. Cooking utensils,crockery bowls,pans etc are all available

Fully tiled bathroom with walk in shower, wc, basin & washing machine plus heated towel rail/radiator, 2 further 90 x 90cm showers exist on the ground floor (one is in the annexe), both with wc`s and washbasins plus a further bathroom upstairs with shower, wc & washbasin.

Large tiled lounge (30 m2) with woodburning stove, both a 3 & 2 seater sofa, coffee tables, TV DVD & Video. A feature of this room is the 2 double doors which open directly to the rear garden with views over the neighbouring fields to the woods and the evening sunset.

There is a collection of books, games & children's toys plus a high chair and a travel cot. There are 2 built in BBQ's on the terrace & mint grows wild in the lawn for your Pimms (as well as Thyme for the chef).There are restaurants in the nearby towns & a catalogue for you to browse through containing details of activities/vineyards/places to visit/places to eat.
